The landlord & landlady, Tony & Sue Gray, offer a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors to the Outgate Inn. They take pride in their fine reputation for serving excellent real ales, superb freshly cooked meals and providing comfortable accommodation in their three guest bedrooms. They endeavour to complete the scene in relaxed and pleasant surroundings. The inn dates back to the 18th century when it was originally part of smallholding. In 1903 it became licensed as the Outgate Mineral Water Manufacturer. Displayed in the restaurant are several of the original bottles dating back to the early 1900’s! Many of the original features of the building have been retained keeping the old world feel. |

There is a secluded and peaceful beer garden Now part of the Robinson’s Estate and serving their finest real ales, the regular favourites are Hartley’s XB and Robinson’s Smooth Bitter. The seasonal ales such as Dizzy Blonde, Mr Scrooge and Double Hop make their appearances! A good range of draught lagers and ciders are available such as Veltin’s Lager and Stowford Press Cider. Situated in the centre of the beautiful English Lake District where there are numerous countryside walks and it is an ideal place to stay if you are taking advantage of these walks.
